Job Description
Newton Talented Youth Academy is a newly opened International Educational Institute with a campus in Gangnam, specifically the Nonhyeon-dong area. The Founder of Newton is an educational counselor who has helped students prepare for Ivy League and other high level universities. We anticipate that this will quickly become a leading educational institute in Korea.
We opened our campus 8 weeks ago and already need additional teachers for some subjects starting next semester, around January 15, 2024.
We are seeking qualified candidates for GRADE 7-12 SPANISH TEACHERS.
Minimum Qualifications:
A demonstrated commitment to, and experience with the subject matter.
Ability to work well with students, parents, teachers, and administrative staff
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent human relations skills
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in relevant field
Experience with incorporating technology in the classroom
Demonstrated ability to use data to inform decision making
Teaching license
Additional details include:
Starting salary: Depends on number of classes taught. Likely to be between 60,000-70,000 per 45-minute class
Position will start around January 15, 2024
These are part-time positions: 5-15 classes/week teaching maximum
Classes will be held from roughly 8:00AM until 3:00PM, but since this is a part-time position the exact time of the classes will need to be discussed in the course of the interview.
As this is a new school, the class sizes will be less than 10 students
We can consider applicants with the following citizenship: USA, Korea, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, or any Native Spanish speaking Country
We may sponsor an E-2 visa for Spanish teaching positions. F-Visa and Korean citizens are welcome to apply as well.
