School Type: International High School, Beijing Key Middle School, Model High School
Job Type: Full-Time (Work time: 8.AM-5.PM)
Visa: Provided
Expected start date for this position is February 2025
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Instruction and Curriculum Development
• Develop clear teaching objectives, learning outcomes, and appropriately challenging expectations.
• Apply best practices for language learners in all lesson content.
• Plan educational experiences that foster students' social, emotional, and cultural growth.
• Create curriculum-aligned teaching materials for classroom use.
• Innovate lessons with creative use of educational technology.
• Design assessments that align with learning outcomes and use data to inform lesson planning.
• Provide students with standards-based, descriptive feedback.
• Adapt lesson content based on ongoing student achievement data.
• Conduct independent research to refine teaching strategies.
• Teach18 periods per week (each period is 40 minutes).
2. School Culture
• Foster a caring, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Maintain discipline, ensuring students’ health and safety.
• Promote fairness, equality, and dignity for all community members.
• Reflect school policies in daily practices.
• Participate in and help organize co-curricular activities.
3. Professional Collaboration
• Collaborate weekly with co-teachers or department members for consistency in content and assessment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and coordination.
• Engage with professional learning teams.
• Participate actively in policy-making and the development of teaching resources.
4. Administrative Tasks
• Monitor, assess, and keep records of student progress.
• Record grades using the school’s online management system.
• Attend staff meetings as required.
• Assist with evaluating prospective students.
• Participate in open days and student recruitment events.
• Supervise one morning study hall session per week (7:40-8:00 AM).
• Maintain a minimum of 40 hours per week on-site, including classroom and office duties.
Candidate Requirements
• Extensive teaching experience, particularly with international curricula (e.g.,AP English).
• Strong proficiency in English literature instruction.
• Ability to teach AP Seminar and social science subjects (e.g.,History, Psychology).
• Experience teaching AP Research is a plus.
