Job Description
1. Role and Responsibilities
Saint Paul American Scholars is seeking a qualified and professional candidates to serve as an Elementary Grade 4 Homeroom teacher. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient and work well with young children. A good teacher for this position would be flexible, organized, and have a positive attitude. Saint Pauls implements an American style curriculum so those already familiar with this type of teaching would be a great fit.
You will be responsible for the following:
Teach students in Elementary grade 4
Teach multiple subjects (langauge arts, math, social studies, science, and foreign languages. Other subjects include reading comprehension, Korean language, culture, and history, IT, and Chinese.)
Teach subject courses fully in English
Reinforce students understanding and application of English
3. Working Conditions:
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:50 AM - 4:50 PM
Teaching Hours: 25 hours/week - There are 7 periods each day, and most teachers teach 5 classes per day with 2 prep periods.
Class Sizes: 6 students maximum
4. Salary and Benefits
Salary: 2.2~ Million KRW (depending on experience)
Housing: Provided (or housing allowance)
Vacation: 17 Days of paid vacation (1st year teachers)
5. Candidate Requirements
4-year bachelor's degree
F-2, F-4, F-6 or E-2 visa holders and overseas Koreans are welcome to apply!
Must be a citizen of one of the following countries: U.S.A., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, or Australia.
Teacher's License OR Bachelor's degree in the subject field of desired position OR teaching experience
