1. Role and Responsibilities
MICA is seeking a highly organized and professional candidate to serve as an Elementary school Homeroom Teacher. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and have experience utilizing and applying the Common Core State Standards.
The ideal candidate will have dedication and passion for the individualized need of students as well as an appreciation for diversity with respect for students needs by differentiating instruction. MICA uses an interdisciplinary approach to ensure the educational, mental, and physical well-being of students.
The ideal candidate will have experience either taking or teaching from a North American style curriculum. You will be responsible for teaching a variety of subjects such as: math, science, social studies, history, and language arts.
You will be responsible for the following:
Teach various subjects to Elementary grades 1-6
Follow the textbook and syllabus provided by the school for preparing lesson plans
Create a diverse curriculum for students based on CCSS standards
Work with your co-teacher to add supplementary lessons and activities to your lesson plan
Grade assignments and write report cards once a month on the student progress

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 1 Year
Location: Yongin, Gyeonggi-do
Working Hours: M-F: 07:40 AM-4:40 PM
Lunch Time: 12-1 PM
Students per Class: 8-12 Students
Age Level: Elementary grades 1-6
Student English Level: Intermediate - Advanced
3. Salary and Benefits
Salary: From 2.2 Million KRW (negotiable based on experience)
Insurance and Pension: Matched by the employer
Contract Completion Bonus: Yes
Vacation: 8 Weeks including all Korean National holidays and American holidays, paid
Spring Break: 1 Week, Summer + Winter Break: 3 Weeks
Housing: A studio apartment near Migeum Station (induction range, fridge, washing machine, bed, table, and chair) or housing allowance of 500,000 KRW/month will be provided
Flight Allowance: One-way reimbursed ticket
4. Candidate Qualifications
Korean citizens or F-4, F-6 visa holders
Bachelor’s Degree in English (any field) or Education
Teachers must be able to teach using only English
Teachers with experience or a background in teaching preferred
Teaching license preferred (any country)
