Summit English Academy was founded by teachers, not entrepreneurs! We are a growing academy, but we have already established a respectable reputation with parents who trust our philosophy and approach to deep learning. Our curriculum and style are based on a combined 30 years of experience in the teaching field. We know what works and what doesn’t for students. We support teachers with a ready curriculum. Our academy teaches grades 1-6 using the American textbook curriculum as well as a variety of other sources. We work with eager, hard-working, intermediate to advanced level students.

PART-TIME SCHEDULE (Choose the option of your choice or a combination when applying):
Start dates are flexible but we prefer as soon as possible! Teaching starts March!
A) MWF 6 hours teaching per week (2:20-4:15 P.M.) / 35,000 won per hour
B) MWF 8 hours of R&D per week / 15,000 won per hour
C) TTh 14 hours of R&D / 15,000 won per hour with 1 class possibly opening in March
In the case a possible class opens:
TTh 8 hours of R&D / 15,000 won per hour / March -and-
TTh 6 hours teaching (6:30-9:30) / 35,000 per hour / March
JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Seocho, Banpo (5-minute walk from Express Bus Terminal)
One part-time position teaching
Teach grades between 1-6
Help create R&D material (we'll train you!)
OUR TEACHERS
are fun and interactive
show passion for teaching and care for students
zero in on students’ weaknesses
create and execute lesson plans
manage and control a class of 6-10 students
are punctual, organized, responsible, and positive
JOB REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree in any field –Preference given to degrees in Language and Education or any related teaching certificate (teaching certificate from abroad, TESOL, TEFL, etc.)
At least 2 years teaching experience with elementary aged children preferred
F-visa holder (F-2, 4, 5, 6) or Korean citizen with native/near-native fluency
