Job Description
BC Collegiate Seocho, an internationally accredited school, is looking for dedicated and qualified teachers who are passionate about teaching elementary students as a homeroom teacher. As an elementary homeroom teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a well-balanced curriculum, including math, science, social studies, and language arts, following the AERO Common Core Plus Standards.
1. Role and Responsibilities
Teach various subjects to elementary students including math, science, social studies and language arts, IT, and Character Education
Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect accommodation for individual needs of students assigned
Utilize textbooks provided by the school to create a diverse curriculum and lesson plans for students
Provide feedback on student learning and facilitate student learning in areas students struggle in
Grade assignments and prepare student term reports
Take part in PTCs (Parent-Teacher Conferences) and consult with parents regarding student progress and areas that students can improve upon
Attend and participate in faculty and staff meetings
Organize one whole school event and one after school club.
Attend one out-of-school event (ex. Sporting event)
2. Candidate Qualifications
Foreigners (F-2, F-4, F-5, and F-6 Visa Holders) and Korean Citizens
Candidates must have a teacher’s license.
3. Job Overview
Start Date: August
Working Hours: Full Time (M-F: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM)
Grade Level: Kindergarten or Grade 2
4. Salary
Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications
5. Benefits
Insurance: 50% of all 4 major insurance paid
Vacation: National holidays in Korea, Winter, Spring, Summer Vacation
Housing: Provided housing or housing allowance
Severance: 1 month severance pay at the completion of contract
