100% Non-Teaching Curriculum Developer/Editor at the YBM Education Corporation HQ – Content developer/editor for young children (Not Adults) -F2, F4, F5, F6 visa status- Early February start to late March 2022 start of employment.

YBM is the official publisher of National Geographic magazine in Korea and is also the official test administer for the TOEIC Exam as well as the Microsoft Office User Exam.  YBM is the largest and most well-known education based corporation within Korea offering career opportunities with advancement throughout its various divisions.
YBM Education is seeking a curriculum developer to work at our head office in Jongno central downtown Seoul.

The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications; excellent grammar skills, good writing skills, familiar with the materials used by children’s ESL institutes in Korea, work well with fellow team members and complete assignments within the required timelines.  Also enjoy working in an office environment and contributing to the development of ESL materials for our YBM corporate owned schools.
Position: Curriculum Developer/Editor with YBM Education focusing on learning materials to young children.
Salary (Non-Housing contract): 2.95 to 3.25 million won per month + severance pay
Salary (Provided Housing contract): 2.50 to 2.80 million won per month + single studio
Korean Pension and Health Insurance: Fully comply with this regulation
Benefits: Severance pay, pension, Korean national medical insurance
Vacation dates: At least 11 Vacation days + all national Korean holidays off, No weekend work
Start Date: As early as Feb 1st 2022 to March 30th 2022 start of employment
Work Place: YBM Head office in Jongno (Jongno 3ga subway station 3 min walk)
Working Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Mon to Fri (No late night work) - Can leave at 6:00 pm

Typical work activities: Working within the YBM PINE R&D contents team liaising with the content developers as well as creating/contributing curriculum materials.  Perform duties such as checking spelling, grammatical errors, sub-editing text written by different authors to ensure consistent style and awareness of new words/phrases usage to ensure they are appropriate for our targeted students (Korean children studying at our YBM schools)

Native English speaker currently in Korea with F2, F4, F5, F6 visa status
Minimum 1 full year of teaching experience in Korea at a hakwon catering to children
Must be in Korea for face to face interview
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Must meet the start dates as indicated in this posting
