Job Description
BC Collegiate, an internationally accredited(WASC) school, is looking for a dedicated and qualified teacher passionate about teaching Speech and Debate to upper elementary and middle school students during Summer Camp and possibly continue working with our school in the 2022-23 school year.
For Summer Camp, the teacher is expected to provide high-quality instruction in Speech and Debate and differentiate the level of lessons considering the students' English proficiency.
Date: July 11th - August 19th
Time: Tuesday -Thursday 8:30am -11:30am (adjustable)
Pay: Hourly (Negotiable)
The daily commitment in the regular school year includes teaching debate and attending competitions with the debate team. Therefore, the ideal candidate should have experience coaching debates in upper elementary and middle schools and be familiar with debate rules and regulations.

Pay: Hourly (Negotiable)
Main duties:
Provide high-quality instruction in Speech & Debate.
Teach students how to do all speech and debate events
Provide fair, accurate, and constructive live in-class feedback and written feedback and one-on-ones to students on their progress.
Analyze student assessment data and determine the next steps.
Build and revise the curriculum to best meet the needs of students with a strong understanding of instructional strategies to support Emergent Bilinguals / Language Learners
Support students in developing reading comprehension, critical thinking and analytical skills through exploring challenging literature and independent research.
Connect with other international schools worldwide and organize debate competitions for our students to participate.
