At WYATT and Wonders in Seorae Village, all of our students learn English through reading novels. Since its founding in 2014, WYATT has successfully worked to provide kids in our kindergarten with a more fun and creative environment to learn English and experience English culture. In 2019, we expanded our business by opening another hakwon for elementary nearby and have been teaching around 130 elementary school students at Wonders. Who we’re looking for
If you love reading and want to share your passion for literature in a progressive education company in Asia then we’d like to meet you. The teacher that we’re looking for will be independent, imaginative and willing to devote at least one year to working with us. The successful candidate will appreciate the crucial importance of literature in a student’s education, will be an English major, and would have graduated from Ivy Leagues (or equivalent). We are looking for both full-time and part-time teachers. Thus feel free to apply for either position.

1. About us Operated by Wonders English in Gang-nam, Seoul, Kidstory is an on-line educational platform with the goal to broaden children’s lens to experience the world through developing outstanding English reading, writing, and speaking skills with creative and critical thinking abilities. 2. Roles and Responsibilities The teacher will conduct an on-line class with the age group of 7-11 years old (Korean age) on a children’s novel. The class will be following Kidstory’s workbook on a specific novel and guidelines that are intended to raise the students’ creativity, reading comprehension, and critical thinking on the subject matter. Our on-lines classes are conducted based on two types of workbooks. Type A workbook focuses on one novel with the workbook intended for a single on-line class. Type B workbook focuses on one novel with the workbook intended for four on-line classes. The teacher will be assigned to a novel and the type of workbook to conduct the class. Teacher’s responsibility is following: * Conducting on-line classes of 3-6 students on an assigned novel * Proficiency on the novel, workbook, and guided teaching plans prior to class * Active engagement of students in conversations and class material * Clear communication and cooperation with the manager regarding class atmosphere, feedback, and workbook. 3. Qualifications: All candidates must; * Be citizens of the following countries: U.S.A, Canada, U.K, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia. * Currently reside in South Korea with an E-2 or F-6 visa * Have access to one’s own or shared Zoom Pro account ($ 14.99/ month ) in order to run a class for more than 40 minutes * Show passion and personal conviction/goal in teaching children * Have an apostilled CBC and diploma ready * Have a clean self-medical health check (preferable) 3. Working Conditions Hours: The teacher may work remotely anywhere in South Korea. Kidstory will cooperate with the teachers’ available schedules to assign appropriate classes.
