Job Description
1. Role and Responsibilities:
GIA Micro School is seeking a highly organized and qualified candidate to serve as a Secondary school History teacher. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and have experience working with students and possess either a teaching certificate or a degree in history.
The ideal candidate will have dedication and passion for the individualized need of students as well as an appreciation for diversity with respect for students needs by differentiating instruction. As GIA Micro School is an International School, you will be teaching history to students in grades 7-12 based on an International style curriculum.
2. Position: Full-Time Secondary School History Teacher
Start Date: ASAP
Training Dates: 1 week
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Teaching Hours: 9 hours per day
Class Length: 50 minutes
Lunch Time: 11:50 AM - 12:50 PM
Age Level: 13 - 18 years old
English Level: Intermediate - Advanced
3. Salary and Benefits
Salary: 2.2 Million KRW (Negotiable Upon Experience)
Insurance and Financial: Matched by employer
Contract Completion Bonus: Provided upon completion of one year contract
Vacation: 10 days off in addition to Korean National Holidays
Housing Allowance: 500,000 KRW per month
4. Candidate Qualifications:
4 year Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
Must be a citizen from: the USA, Canada, the UK, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa
Must have both an apostilled diploma and criminal background check from the last 6 months READY TO GO
F Series Visa holders and Native Koreans fluent in English are free to apply!
Candidates with a Teaching Certificate in history and/or a degree in History preferred
Teachers with a Christian background preferred
5. Location:
We’re located in the Gangnam district, one of the most popular places in Seoul. In Gangnam you can enjoy a variety of shopping areas and eateries. The campus is located near Apgujeong station, which is considered to be Seoul’s Rodeo Drive, where you can enjoy a larger variety of international vendors and restaurants.
