1. About the Role
The Elementary Homeroom Teacher serves as the primary classroom teacher for a designated grade level (Grades K-3), responsible for delivering core subject instruction, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons across core subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies).
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing homeroom environment that supports student wellbeing and growth.
Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents.
Communicate consistently with parents regarding student learning, behavior, and development.
Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and school leadership to support whole-child development.
Participate in school events, parent conferences, professional development, and committee activities.
Required Qualifications
Visa / nationality: Applicant must hold an F-series visa (F-2, F-4, F-5, F-6, etc.) OR be a Korean national / overseas Korean (gyopo) eligible to work in Korea without sponsorship.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of full-time elementary classroom teaching experience.
Bachelor's degree or higher (Education or a related field preferred).
Native or near-native English proficiency, with the ability to instruct across the elementary curriculum.
Strong classroom management skills and a genuine commitment to elementary education.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid teaching license or certification (elementary level preferred).
Prior experience in an international or English-immersion school setting.
Familiarity with the California Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and NGSS.
Conversational Korean (helpful for parent communication, not required).
2. Contract Period
1 year, renewable (Long-term employment available upon mutual agreement)
3. Work Conditions
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 ~ 17:30 (including lunch break)
Location: Incheon Global Campus, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, South Korea
4. Compensation & Benefits
Annual Salary
Negotiable based on experience and qualifications
Benefits Package
Insured with the 4 National Insurances (national pension, health insurance, employment insurance, and industrial accident insurance)
Paid Vacation: Annual eight-weeks paid vacation plus Korean national holidays
Severance: Paid upon the completion of employment (minimum 1-year contract)
Meals Provided: Lunch on working days
