Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
GIA is looking for an dilligent candidate to serve as the elementary school principal. In this position, you will be responsible for the leadership, administration, and supervision of the programs.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop and maintain an effective educational program consistent with government guidelines and the philosophy, policies, regulations, and strategic plan of the School Board.
Establish a professional learning culture by creating a shared mission, vision, values, and goals with all stakeholders.
Establish and maintain an effective learning climate in the school.
Initiate, design, and implement programs to meet specific needs of the school.
Ensure the implementation of GIA’s approved curriculum.
Direct and monitor the school's instructional program to ensure student academic progress
Plan, organize, and direct the implementation of all school activities.
Make recommendations concerning the school's staffing to support instruction.
Follow the school’s budget and monitor expenditures.
Effectively analyze and use data to prepare reports.
Coordinate and work with the school administrative staff on school improvement.
Enforce all policies, regulations, and guidelines.
Schedule classes within established guidelines to meet student’s needs.
Assist in the development, revision, and evaluation of the curriculum.
Monitor all dimensions of the special education program in the school to ensure compliance with all local mandates and guidelines.
Monitor the child study process to ensure appropriate and timely interventions for students and subsequent referrals for other services if needed.
Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline, according to School Board policy and the due process rights of students.
Attend events and activities associated with the school’s academic and extra-curricular programs.
Supervise the maintenance of accurate records of students.
Supervise all professional, paraprofessional, administrative and non-professional personnel assigned to the school.
Develop leadership skills, particularly instructional leadership, of the assistant principals assigned to the school.
Evaluate and counsel all staff members regarding their individual and group performance.
Supervise the daily use of the school facilities for both academic and nonacademic purposes.
Perform related work as required.
Position: Elementary School Principal
Start Date: ASAP
Training Dates: 1 week
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Lunch Time: 11:50 AM - 12:50 PM
Salary and Benefits
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Insurance and Financial: Matched by employer
Contract Completion Bonus: Provided upon completion of one year contract
Vacation: 10 days off in addition to Korean National Holidays
Housing Allowance: 500,000 KRW per month
Candidate Qualifications
Must be a citizen from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa
F-series visa holders and Koreans that speak fluent English are welcome to apply
Must be a Christian
Candidates that majored in education are preferred
Master's degree (in any major) required
Candidates that have previous teaching experience are preferred
Candidates with teaching licenses are preferred
