Job Description
*QUALIFICATIONS*
Energetic teaching abilities and strong classroom management skills
Minimum 3-4 years teaching experience IN Korea (preferably elementary school students)
Have a university degree from (US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand etc)
B.A. required (Journalism, English, English Lit major preferred)
Native English speaker (bilingual candidates preferred)
F-visa holders / Korean citizens with fluent English speaking ability
Must love being around children
prefer individuals looking for long time work and plan on staying in Korea for minimum 2 years
Professional, organized and punctual individual
Previous R&D experience preferred
Experience making curriculum and tests
*START DATE*
· Full Time: January 3rd (Monday)
·Training: Minimum 1-2 weeks depending on experience done before start of teaching classes
*WORKING CONDITION*
· Full Time TEACHING: (Starting January 3rd )
Option 1) Teaching 6 days a week
Option 2) Teaching 4 days and 1 day R&D (5 days workweek)
Hours: M-F 2:00-10:00p.m / Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
· Part-Time TEACHING: (Starting January 3rd )
Option 3) Teaching 2 days and 1 day R&D (3 days workweek)
Hours: M-F 2:00-10:00p.m / Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
·R&D position
Option 4) 3 days a week (can choose which days) between M-F 2:00-10:00p.m / Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
After 3 month trial period can switch to 1 day WFH and 2 days working at academy.
After 6 month trial period can switch to 2 days WFH and 1 day working at academy.
*VACATION DAYS*
·Academy Vacation days: 3-5 days off for each holiday
(1) Lunar New Year, (2) Children’s Day, (3) Summer Vacation, (4) Korean Thanksgiving, and (5) Winter Vacation
·Personal Vacation days: 5 days paid vacation (on top of academy vacation days)
*LOCATION*
·10 minute walk from Hanti Station (Yellow Bundang Line)
·300 meter walk from Kangnam Severance Hospial
*SALARY*
Option 1) 4.5 million KRW (base 4.5 million with incentives according to % of students taught max pay can go up to 6.0million KRW) for 6 days/wk
Option 2) 3.5 million KRW (base 3.5 million with incentives according to % of students taught max pay can go up to 4.5million KRW) for 5 days/wk
Option 3) 1.75 million KRW (base 1.75 million with incentives according to % of students taught max pay can go up to 2.25million KRW) for 3 days/wk
Option 4) 1.5-1.75 million KRW (based on r&d experience) for 3 days/wk
·Severance pay for each successful contract year
·Paid on time and in full (ALWAYS!)
