Job Description
BC Collegiate, an internationally accredited school, is looking for dedicated and qualified Middle
School Academic Advisor who is passionate about helping students recognize and achieve their
educational goals.
1. Role & Responsibilities
• Using professional judgement and skills to increase students’ academic performance through
direct guidance and developing students’ positive academic behaviors and non-cognitive skills
• Mentoring and advising students to increase college and career readiness
• Assist students in their growth and development by constructing meaningful educational plans
which are compatible with their life goals.
• Monitor, collect, and document student data for assessment and reporting requirements
• Work as a team with classroom teachers, counselors, and administrators to analyze student
data and use instructional tools and methodologies
• Creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and voicing
concerns.
• Participating in other school activities and regularly communicating with parents.
2. Candidate Qualifications
• Foreigners (F-2, F-4, F-5, and F-6 Visa Holders) and Korean Citizens
• Bachelor’s degree related to educational counseling and two years of professional work
experience in the education field
• A relevant license and/or certification
• Dedication, patience, and the ability to remain calm in tense situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Job Overview
• Start Date: August 20, 2022
• Working Hours: Full Time (M-F: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM)
4. Salary/Benefits
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications
Insurance: 50% of all 4 major insurance paid
Vacation: National holidays in Korea, Winter, Spring, Summer Vacation
Severance: 1 month severance pay at the completion of contract
