Job Description
We have a part time and full time position available. We are looking for instructors who are energetic and passionate about kids. If you want to learn and grow as a teacher, this is the place to be!
We are not the typical "cram school." We believe that students can learn effectively while having fun at the same time. We employ various methods to motivate our students, using tools that we picked up in our many years of teaching. We have a great working environment, with supportive staff and management.
Working Conditions & Benefits
• 5-day work week (Monday – Friday, no Saturday classes but a few Sat. events in the year)
• Working hours 1:30-10 (Break included)
• Up to 4.0 million won (severance included) for full time position, pay based on experience
• Hourly pay for part - time position, pay based on experience
• There is up to a paid 1-2 week training period (starting date Dec but flexible)
• around 2 weeks paid vacation (about 1 month off in the year including national holidays)
• Start date:
Full and part time: Training in December 2022, Class begins January 2, 2023
(training start date flexible in the month of December)
• No housing offered
Job Requirements
- Conversational Korean in order to speak with parents
- All documents required to register instructor with the Department of Education
(apostilled diploma from a 4 year university, apostilled criminal background check, medical check-up)
- F visa or native Korean with native or near native fluency
- at least 2 years of hagwon experience with a professional attitude
- experience working with the American textbook curriculum
- detail-oriented and responsible
- service - oriented with problem solving skills
Our academy teaches grades 1-6 using the American textbook curriculum as well as a variety of other sources. We work with eager, hard-working, intermediate to advanced level students.
