Job Description
dc4 Academy Teacher: 5 days (Mon-Fri) 3.0-3.6 million KRW/month
Location: Anyang, Pyeongchon Academy Street
Visa: F-2,4,5,6 (can sponsor E-2)
Start Date: February/March 2023
Job Type: Full-Time Teaching Position
Working Hours: Mon/Fri 1:30-10:00 pm, Tue/Wed/Thur 1:30-9:00 pm (we allow teachers to prep outside of work)
Teaching Hours: Mon/Fri 2:30-10:00 pm, Tue/Thur 2:30-8:05 pm, Wed 2:30-7:10 pm
Days: 5 days/week (all national holidays off)
Students: Grade 1-6
Class Size: Up to 8 students
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, 2 years teaching experience, MUST be a native English speaker, must be currently living in Korea
Salary: 3.0 million won with housing or up to 3.6 million won with no housing (negotiable)
Housing: Yes or we can provide housing support (key deposit)
Benefit: All national holidays, pension, and health insurance. Severance paid upon completion of the contract.
Vacation: 11 paid days the first year. 15 paid days the second the second year.
*We offer flex vacation days, not the standard 1 week in summer and winter.
Foreign Teachers: 6 foreign teachers plus 3 foreign owners (if an offer is made, we can share contact information to learn more about dc4 from a current teachers' perspective)
We are a foreigner owned and operated academy that believes in teacher and student autonomy. We focus on developing practical English skills through group work, novel study, writing and presentations. We only accept higher level students so that we can offer more intellectually stimulating classes veering away from the industry standard of grammar, test prep, and rote memorization.
