Job Description
Newton Talented Youth Academy is a newly opening International Educational Institute with a campus in Gangnam, specifically the Nonhyeon-dong area. The Founder of Newton is an educational counselor who has helped students prepare for Ivy League and other high level universities.
Newton will offer a full American curriculum and will be led by an experienced and highly qualified team. We are preparing a beautiful campus in the heart of Gangnam and we anticipate that this will quickly become a leading educational institute in Korea.
We are seeking qualified candidates for GRADE 6-10 ENGLISH AND SOCIAL STUDIES POSITIONS for the 2023-2024 Academic Year.
Minimum Qualifications:
A demonstrated commitment to, and experience with English or Social Studies instruction
Ability to work well with students, parents, teachers, and administrative staff
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent human relations skills
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in relevant field
Experience with incorporating technology in the classroom
Demonstrated ability to use data to inform decision making
Teaching license
Additional details include:
Starting salary 3.0 - 3.6 million won/month
600,000 KRW housing stipend
Position will start August 1 (can be flexible) and contract is for 1 year
This is a full time position: 25 hours/week teaching maximum + some additional duties (will discuss)
Classes will be held from roughly 8:00AM until 3:00PM
As this is a new school, the class sizes will be less than 10 students

We can sponsor an E-2 visa for English teaching positions and also welcome F-visa holders or Korean citizens to apply for the social studies positions.
