1. Introduction
Young Hoon International Middle School(YHIMS) is a specialized private middle school belonging to the Seongbuk Gangbuk Office of Education, Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, servicing students from grade 7 to grade 9. YHIMS is an international specialized middle school that conducts English immersion education under a National Education Curriculum. It was designated in 2009 and requires bilingual education in five or more subjects, which is the standard for re-designation. To this end, in English, Mathematics, Social studies, and Science subjects, native English speaking assistant teachers are assistant teachers to Korean teachers, helping students develop conversational skills to communicate in English on topics related to the units taught by Korean teachers. In addition, in International activities, one of the Creative Experiential Activities, native English speaking assistant teachers work with Korean teachers to develop conversational skills to communicate in English on themes such as international society, international economy, and international relations. We have a total of 15 native English speaking assistant teachers. We are currently looking for competent and enthusiastic faculty members to join our team.

3. Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
A bachelor degree or above in the associated field of study
Suitable for E-2 visa conditions
Additional teaching certificate, education related degree, or CELTA, TESOL certificates
Prior teaching experience is desirable
Experience
Enthusiastic in building and contributing to global leadership program for middle school students
Experienced with online learning platforms and applying them in practice for student learning
Advanced organizational skills for planning unit plans, displaying class lessons and applying self-reflection
Flexibility in the content area with western education standards and Korean education standards
Establishes cooperative and collaborative working relationships with staff and students
Brings strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Conditions and Benefits
Contract Period: 2023.10.16~ 2024.02.29 or 2023.10.16~2025.02.28 with an opportunity to re-sign a one-year or a two- year contract.
22 teaching hours a week, with extra income opportunities through after school program.
Paid Summer or Winter Camp (Mandatory)
Cooperative work environment with both English-speaking and Korean-speaking teachers.
Paid vacation ( About 9 weeks for summer and winter vacation) and Korean national holidays.(Sick leaves and special vacations provided separately)
Overtime pay is provided and overnight trips are paid separately.
Competitive salary scale referenced to teaching experience. (With no work experience minimum ￦32,000,000 a year)
Monthly housing allowance of ￦700,000
Professional development fee of ￦200,000 per year.
