SEOUL ACADEMY – DAECHI
Seoul Academy is a U.S.-accredited international school serving Grades 1–8 in
Gangnam. We follow a full U.S. curriculum and are looking for qualified applicants for our Middle School program for SY 2026–2027.
Position Opening
Middle School Science Teacher (Grades 6–8)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Science, Education, or a related field
- Teaching experience preferred (any setting considered)
- Native or near-native English proficiency
- Valid F-series visa (F-2, F-4, F-5, F-6) or Korean citizenship
(Visa sponsorship is not available)
- Apostilled degree and apostilled criminal background check required upon hire
Roles and Responsibilities
Instruction
- Lesson planning based on NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards)
- Lesson delivery across Grades 6, 7, and 8
- Lab facilitation and hands-on investigations
Classroom Management
- Classroom management
- Regular parent communication
Assessment
- Ongoing formative and summative assessment
- Grade reporting through school systems
Collaboration
- MS team collaboration and curriculum planning
- Participation in school events and one weekly extracurricular activity
Working Conditions
Start Date: August 2026 (SY 2026–2027)
Location: 16, Samseong-ro 64-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul
Working Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Student Ratio: Approximately 10-15
Salary and Benefits
Salary: From 42,000,000 KRW per year (negotiable upon experience and qualifications)
Paid Vacation: 6 weeks (summer and school breaks) plus all national holidays
Severance: Paid upon completion of one-year contract
Insurance: 4 National Insurances (건강보험, 고용보험, 국민연금, 산재보험)
