Position Overview
Seoul Academy - Daechi is seeking a qualified part-time Debate Instructor for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Grade Level: Middle School (Grades 6-8) Sessions: 6 periods per week, 50 minutes per period
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging debate instruction appropriate to middle school grade levels
Develop students' argumentation, public speaking, and critical thinking skills
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
Maintain a structured, positive, and academically focused classroom environment
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Communicate proactively and professionally with school administration regarding student progress and classroom matters
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree (any field)
Native-level or near-native English proficiency
Valid F-series visa (F-2, F-4, F-5, F-6) or Korean citizenship (visa sponsorship is not available)
Strong communication skills and ability to manage a classroom independently
Clear criminal background check
Preferred:
Background or formal training in debate, speech, rhetoric, or a related field
Prior experience teaching or coaching debate at the middle or high school level
Teaching certification or education background (not required)
Compensation
Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience
Payment issued monthly for sessions completed that month
