About DL English Academy
DL English Academy is a growing English academy located in Jamsil, Seoul, specializing in English Language Arts for advanced elementary students (Grades 1–6).
Our mission is to help students become confident English users and thoughtful learners through a balanced curriculum focused on language development, critical thinking, and psychological safety.

Qualifications
Required
Native English speaker
Hold a valid F-series visa with permission to work in Korea
Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience
Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Preferred
Teaching certification
Experience teaching at an international school or overseas
Knowledge of linguistics and second language acquisition
A genuine passion for working with children and a strong commitment to their learning and well-being
Position Duties
As a member of our teaching team, you will teach advanced elementary English learners using an International-school-style English Language Arts curriculum.
Responsibilities include:
Planning engaging and effective lessons
Teaching English Language Arts classes
Assessing student progress
Grading assignments
Writing report cards
Posting homework
Communicating regularly with fellow teachers regarding student progress
Class Description
Student Profile
Elementary students (Grades 1–6)
Small classes of up to 8 students
Students are selected through placement testing and are able to communicate comfortably in English.
Curriculum
International-school-style English Language Arts curriculum including:
Novel study
Non-fiction reading
Vocabulary development
Grammar
Writing
Phonics & Word Study (lower grades)
Students also participate in special events throughout the year, including Market Day, Movie Night, and other collaborative learning projects.
Working Conditions
Start Date: September 2026
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 12:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Teaching Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 8:20 p.m. (20 teaching hours per week)
Wednesdays: Professional development, student work analysis, teacher collaboration, and curriculum development
Class Size: Maximum of 8 students
Teaching Staff: Five Native English Teachers and Two Korean Teachers
Curriculum Support
Teaching materials and curriculum are provided. Teachers are encouraged to design engaging lessons that best meet the needs of their students while maintaining consistency with our curriculum.
Salary & Benefits
Monthly salary starting at KRW 4,000,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Annual salary increase based on performance and continued employment
National Pension, Health Insurance, Employment Insurance, and Industrial Accident Insurance
Severance pay in accordance with Korean labor law
Two weeks of paid vacation (one scheduled week in summer and one scheduled week in winter)
All Korean national holidays
Additional vacation may be negotiated
